Alina AS is set to showcase its new products to attendees at the Hotelier Middle East Executive Housekeeper Forum on May 3, 2016.

Speaking to Hotelier Middle East, Alina AS owner Nalan Selcuk said: "This an important event, where we can reach our existing customers and find new ones. We think this event is both productive and exciting."

She revealed that competition and newcomers in the sector could pose a challenge to housekeeping professionals, as might the introduction of VAT.

When questioned about the opportunities in the market, Selcuk said: "Ongoing political turmoil in the Middle East may be a positive factor for stable countries like UAE. Completion of new hotels and Expo 2020 are very exciting developments as well.

"The market should be focusing on quality and sustainability, not only prices. Quality products should always be in demand."

In that regard, Alina AS has launched new natural soaps and beauty items made from olive oil and other natural ingredients. "We have also added traditional handmade copper bowls to our product list," added Selcuk.

In the next year, the company is set to add more designer items, peshtemals and various accessories used in Turkish hammams to its portfolio.
