UAE-based JA Resorts & Hotels has revealed a sneak peek at the designs of its latest venture, JA Eclipse Beach Resort, in Sri Lanka.

The group announced the development of the beach resort in Kathiraveli on the East Coast of Sri Lanka in partnership with the Gravity Resort Group (GRG) last year.

GRG are footing the US$ 30 million project development fee for the resort.

It is scheduled to break ground on the site this summer and complete the project in 2018.

The resort is spread across 33 acres and 450 metres of beach front, and will have eight F&B outlets.

It will feature 105 suites and villas with six-key room categories, ranging from the more conventional resort suites and villas to luxurious tree-top suites and a royal island suite.

In the Indian Ocean region, JA Resorts & Hotels operates in the Maldives and the Seychelles.

The resort’s architecture and interiors has features such as laterite stone walls, teak wood ceiling, veneer teak walls, split granite and rich vibrant Sri Lankan textiles have been incorporated in to the design.
