The central area in Makkah registered its highest operational capacity this year, with 80% reservations for all rooms and hotel suites.
Paid reservations for the first 10 days of Ramadan topped 124,000 rooms, out of a total of 155,000 rooms in the central area, according to local media sources.
According to one director of reservations and marketing at a hotel in Makkah's central area, paid rates for hotel rooms reached 80%, out of a total hotel rooms of 810.

He added that reservations for the whole hotel during the last days of the holy month reached 100% and all rooms were reserved during Shaban.
Paid reservations in the central area for the first 10 days of Ramadan had a total value of US $270 million (SAR 1 billion).
