Andy Cuthbert has been promoted to general manager of the Mina A’Salam at Madinat Jumeirah, adding to his current responsibilities with Jumeirah Group.
Cuthbert will continue his current role as general manager of conference and events at Madinat Jumeirah and Jumeirah Hospitality.
Born in Australia, Cuthbert has amassed more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality and catering industry.
Cuthbert joined Jumeirah Group, a member of Dubai Holding, in 2002, following a career in Australia and the UK.
He first moved to Dubai in 1992, taking the role of executive chef at the Hilton Beach Club.

Cuthbert has held senior management roles at Jumeirah Emirates Towers and was the driving force behind the Madinat Conference Centre and Jumeirah Hospitality, said the hotel firm in a statement.
Cuthbert is also a founding member of the Emirates Culinary Guild and has been chairman for more than 16 years.
He is also chairman of the World Association of Chefs’ Societies young chef development team and an external consultant and lecturer on event management and risk management at the Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management.
