The new 220 room property is Action's first to be Novotel branded and also its first property in Dubai.
Dubai Healthcare City is to welcome Action Hotels with a newly developed, Novotel-branded mid-market hotel, according to Proactive Investors.
To be called Novotel Dubai Creek, the new hotel will target leisure, medical tourism and business travellers staying in the emirate, offering an economy to midscale option in an area dominated by luxury hotels.
AccorHotels managing director and chief operating officer Olivier Granet added: “Creek Park and the wider Dubai Healthcare City are emerging as important destinations for leisure, medical tourism and business travel.”

Action is reported to have bought the site for the hotel through an equal joint venture with H.E. Sheikh Mubarak A M Al Sabah, himself a shareholder in Action.
Total development costs will be US$ 56million (AED 206 million), and construction is expected to begin this quarter with the hotel to become operational in early 2018.
