Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spa has appointed Firas Rashid as area director of sales and marketing of the Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar and Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara in the Sultanate of Oman.
Rashid will oversee the sales and marketing strategies for the two new Anantara resorts, both due to open mid-2016.
A veteran hospitality professional, Rashid brings with him a wealth of experience, from the Middle East and beyond having spent in excess of 15 years’ working in the industry.
In his current role, Rashid has been tasked with leading Anantara’s entry into Oman by coordinating all sales and marketing activities as well as positioning the two new properties as leading five-star destinations.
Minor Hotels regional vice president sales and marketing David Garner said: “We are delighted to have Firas Rashid as part of the team assisting us to launch the new Anantara properties in Oman.”
