The Receptionist of the Year competition is back this year, with deadline for entries set at September 5, 2016.

Organised by the UAE chapter of the Amicale Internationale des Sous Directeurs et Chefs de Réception des Grand Hôtels (AICR), the competition winner will go on to represent the country at the David Campbell competition, which seeks to find the best receptionist in the world.

AICR UAE president Joachim Jacimowitsch told Hotelier Middle East: "Since our first days, AICR praises the strong relationship and continuous support of DTCM."

He continued: "Throughout the year we organise events for our members that offer a wide range of opportunities to get together, network, exchange our views and share our experiences and best practices.

"A key event in our annual calendar is the Receptionist Of The Year competition, where UAE's best receptionists compete in three rounds and the winner will represent our chapter in the international competition taking place in the coming spring."

The final round will be held on October 8 at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray, with the winner announced the next day at an as-yet unconfirmed location.
