The opening of the One&Only Seef, One&Only Resorts’ brand debut in Bahrain, has been delayed. Despite initial estimations of a 2016 opening date, according to information provided by One&Only Resorts president and COO Philippe Zuber, the One&Only Seef is now expected to open in 2017.

Speaking to Hotelier, Zuber confirmed that the new Bahrain resort is still expected to house the Kingdom's first branch of London-born modern Chinese restaurant concept Hakkasan, as well as offering a Givenchy Spa.

The new Bahrain branch of Hakkasan at the One&Only Seef will be Hakkasan’s fourth restaurant in the Middle East, in addition to the Hakkasan-operated Ling Ling Lounge expected to open this year in Marrakech.

Speaking about the upcoming Bahrain property, Zuber told Hotelier: “We pride ourselves in working with talented partners and realise the importance of culinary offerings as part of the overall guest experience. Within the One&Only brand and across all of our resorts we work with internationally acclaimed chefs.

“At One&Only Seef in Bahrain we will open the country’s first Hakkasan restaurant, which will offer guests a world-class experience overseen by Michelin-starred international executive chef Ho Chee Boon.”
