UAE-based JA Resorts & Hotels is celebrating the achievements of the Emirati female associates on its team. August 28 is also observed as Emirati Women’s Day.

The hospitality group has seen a number of its Emirati talent rise through the ranks and take on leadership positions within the organisation.

JA Resorts & Hotels’ chief operating officer, David Thomson, said: “We take great pride in nurturing and growing our local talent through our strong Emiratisation programme and have implemented a fast track recruitment process to source, select and recruit outstanding UAE national candidates.

“We are particularly delighted to see the strong work ethic and drive amongst the female employees on our workforce,” he said.

Over the years, UAE nationals have participated in professional hospitality industry associations such as The Union Internationale des Concierges ďHôtels, Les Clefs d’ Or UAE, AICR Côte ďAzur UAE and The Emirates Culinary Guild.

The group’s corporate human resources emiratisation director, Ghanim Al Marri, said: “JA Resorts & Hotels have supported the recruitment, development and career progression of the UAE national women in the hospitality industry, for over fifteen years as a founding member of the DTCM’s Emiratisation Taskforce for Tourism.”
