Ramada Plaza Jumeirah Beach and Ramada Sharjah has appointed Sarah Brooks as the new cluster director of human resources.
Brooks is familiar with the region and the hospitality sector having worked with ACCOR Middle East in Oman, Ibis & Novotel Hotel in Dubai, Baglioni Hotel, Park Plaza Hotel and Ibis Hotels Euston and Heathrow in UK.
During her three-year stint as HR & Training Manager at Ibis Hotels Euston and Heathrow the British national created an induction programme that has been adopted throughout Ibis UK.
Prior to taking on her new role, Brooks worked as an HR manager at Southern Sun Abu Dhabi, where she managed the selection and recruitment of the pre-opening team.
She was also an active member of the Abu Dhabi HR Managers Network, and is a member of Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), an international professional body for HR and people development.
Commenting on the appointment, cluster general manager Alper Can Bulcum praised her "extensive experience in the development of a strategic human resources function".
He added: "We are delighted to welcome Sarah Brooks and certain that she will be an outstanding addition to our senior leadership team.”
Within her new role, Brooks will be in charge in all human resources requirements of both hotels and will assist management in providing consultation from both an operational and strategic perspective.
