Rove Downtown Dubai has partnered with a UAE-based multi-functional design space to present an interactive musical installation created by a KSA-based design company.
The installation will be showcased at the Rove Downtown Dubai during Dubai Design Week, which is set to take place from October 24-29.
UAE-based 1971 Design Space is working with the Rove property to present ‘Takki W Hakki,’ which has been created by Think Tank Co, a Saudi-based design and innovation company founded by Maha Al Sudairi.
The installation is a circular swing set with five seats tailored to resemble an old-fashioned saddle, a company statement said.
Each seat comes with a headset, and Saudi national Majid Al Essa was commissioned to create a remix of well-known traditional Samry songs to play through these headsets.
