InterContinental Abu Dhabi has appointed a new executive chef - Australian national Chris Curtis.
He will oversee day-to-day operations and cuisine for seven restaurants at the hotel, in addition to banquet events and outside catering services undertaken by the property, according to a company statement.
Originally from Australia, Curtis brings more than 18 years of experience in the hospitality industry.
Curtis was previously executive chef at InterContinental Danang in Vietnam between 2011 and 2013 and executive sous chef at InterContinental Shenzhen, China between 2006 and 2007.
Prior to re-joining InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Curtis also headed up the F&B outlets at Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa, Kuwait.

InterContinental Abu Dhabi general manager Ivor Prestwood said: “His extensive culinary expertise will help further establish the hotel as a key culinary destination both for local and international visitors.
