Could you tell us a bit about your company?

Hansgrohe is one of the world’s leading suppliers of luxury, high tech bathroom fittings. It was founded in 1901 in Schiltach, Germany by local innovator Hans Grohe who had a metal pressing workshop. His small three-man operation developed into a global company that now employs around 3,800 people. The Hansgrohe Group has several production facilities around the world, in Germany, USA, France and China, and this year is targeting one billion euros in global sales.

What are your core products and services?

Hansgrohe is a leading innovator in technology, design and sustainability in the sanitation sector. The mixers, showerheads and shower systems it creates are original products that make bathrooms more functional, more comfortable and more aesthetically pleasing.

What are some of the recent innovations by your company with regards to the spa industry?

Hansgrohe has worked on major projects with five-star hotels in the region to bring spa-like products into bathrooms. Popular products in this area include the Croma collection which features Select technology; like the Croma Select Multi hand shower which provides an individualised shower experience with three different kinds of spray: a soft rain shower, a powerful intense rain mode, and a pulsating water jet massage. Hansgrohe has worked on projects including the Nikki Beach Resort & Spa in Dubai. Hansgrohe supplied the whole resort with its PuraVida Hansgrohe collection, Croma Select and Raindance Select.

What new products could we expect from you in 2017?

Hansgrohe will be unveiling its full range of new products during ISH Frankfurt in March 2017. Before that, however, the company is announcing exciting Axor Montreux news mid-October 2016 at the Interieur Kortrijk fair in Belgium.

What are the current trends in the spa industry?

A key trend is to decorate the interior of your spa with natural materials — stone, slate, wood and so on — as clients find it relaxing having a treatment in a natural type of surrounding. Plants and trees too — ‘bringing the outdoors indoors’ — is being increasingly seen, as are water features.
