Fashionizer Spa

Debbie Leon, Managing Director, Fashionizer shares more about the spa offering

What is your new launch for this year?

Fashionizer Spa is a high quality uniform designer for luxury hotels, resorts and spas. We provide a bespoke service and have an extensive spa stock collection. Our speciality is the use of natural fibres: cotton, linen and bamboo. Fashionizer’s fabric development department works on combining natural fibres with the latest developments in fabric technology. An example of this is the introduction of a new fabric treatment that is perfect for warmer climates such as the Middle East: Silverplus is a natural antibacterial treatment that enables uniforms to stay fresh and odour-free all day. This has been incorporated into our stock spa uniforms.

Can you share more about this product?

Our designs are a marriage between fashion and practicality. Luxury resorts and spas need stylish uniforms, but they also need garments that work well for the wearer. This is especially true of spa uniforms as the spa environment has particular challenges: temperature, and the use of oils and water. Our fabrics and fabric treatments address this challenge. In addition, our unique selling point is our ability to interpret a resort or spa’s brand and translate it into uniforms that are beautifully designed and a perfect fit with the identity of the property.

Why is this product important for the spa industry?

Staff uniforms that look great and enhance the look of the hotel staff is of great value. As well as design expertise, we offer a wealth of knowledge and experience of creating uniforms specifically for spas. It is a complete and detailed service from designs, to quality fabric and manufacture, fitting of staff from multiple nationalities, and most importantly, achieved to budget and on time.

When was your company established, and how long has it been in the Middle East?

Fashionizer Spa was launched in 2008 as a sister company to luxury hotel uniform designer Fashionizer, established in 1993 in London, UK. Our first client in the Middle East was the Phoenicia Beirut more than six years ago. For our most recent client, Four Seasons Dubai at Jumeirah Beach, we delivered a full uniform programme for the new opening and continue to work with the property on any new requirements that arise.
