Amanat Hossain, assistant pastry chef at Intercontinental Doha - The City, was named winner of the second Nestlé Docello Masterclass competition.

He won a trip to the world hospitality and foodservice show Sirha in Lyon, France, in January 2017 to witness the Bocuse D’Or contest.

The event at the Doha Exhibition & Convention Centre challenged 30 of Qatar’s pastry chefs to create their own sweet signature dish using Nestlé Professional’s Docello range of dessert mixes.

Award-winning chef Jodi-Ann Pearton led the chefs in a morning Masterclass tutorial, sharing trends, ideas and innovations for them to incorporate into their creations.

Then in the afternoon the chefs had 90 minutes to make their signature desserts, to be judged by Pearton and Worldchefs competition judge chef Georges Chihane (both pictured with Hossain).
