Fairmont The Palm, Dubai has appointed two new members to its culinary setup - Trevor Macleod joins the hotel as the executive sous chef, while Jeff Lee is the Japanese chef de cuisine.
Both chefs have close to three decades of experience within them having worked in the UAE, Americas and the Far East.
MacLeod started his professional culinary career in 2002 at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge in Canada.
The Canadian national has worked at the Fairmont Vancouver Airport in Canada, Fairmont Bab Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi, UAE and Fairmont Peace Hotel in Shanghai, China in addition to several five stars hotels in the UAE, Canada and Philippines.

Fairmont The Palm general manager Mark Sawkins said in a statement: "Being a very-well experienced chef, with great knowledge of luxury hotel culinary operations in North America, Middle East, China, & South East Asia, Trevor is the perfect addition to our culinary team, headed by executive chef, Alain Gobeil.
"One of Macleod’s main responsibilities is working with the resorts culinary team towards maintaining a high position as a culinary destination on Palm Jumeirah and ensuring we are trend-setters on the Dubai dining scene.”
In addition, the property has also appointed Jeff Lee as its Japanese chef de cuisine. Lee has more than 15 years’ of Japanese cuisine experience in the USA and the UAE.
Lee has worked in several New York-based Japanese luxury lounges. Executive chef Alain Gobeil said: “Jeff is known as the creative celebrity super chef that cooked for the Hollywood A-list. Being part of Fairmont The Palm culinary team, Jeff will introduce creative signature dishes to Japanese foodies in the emirate, who are constantly looking for a sophisticated yet accessible culinary destination in Dubai."
