Besh Turkish Kitchen has opened at the Sheraton Mall of the Emirates.
Hoteliermiddleeast.com had reported in August that the 168 seating capacity restaurant was scheduled to open later in the year.
The concept has been consulted on by Vedat Basaran, a Turkish chef, who is best known for reintroducing dishes from the Ottoman culinary scene.
A statement from the management said: “With age old recipes, family traditions and an abundance of passion for the cuisine, Besh is taking Turkish traditions and giving them a modern touch for the best Turkish fare in town.”
Situated in the Mall of the Emirates, Besh is located on level five of Sheraton Hotel.
A traditional domed oven features prominently in the front of house of the restaurant, which will be used to bake signature pides and lahmacuns, along with Guveç, cooked in clay pots.
