After Hotelier Middle East reported a refurb was underway at the JA Hatta Fort Hotel, JA Resorts & Hotels has confirmed the revamp will be completed by December 2016.

"JA Hatta Fort Hotel is one of the first hotels to be developed by JA Resorts & Hotels and has a special sentimental value for the group. The modernisation will ensure guests enjoy a contemporary and comfortable experience without us having altered the unique charm of this venue.

"We wanted to remain true to our Arabian roots and at the same time enchant our guests with a refreshed look and the heartfelt hospitality that we are known for," said JA Resorts & Hotels chief operating officer David Thomson.

"We are also proud to be part of UAE’s long term strategy to diversify the country’s economic growth by increasing the tourism flow in the UAE. We are confident that after the revamping works are complete JA Hatta Fort Hotel is going to be an even more desirable destination for both residents and tourists from both the region and also from other parts of the world," he added.

The new interiors will be modern while referencing Arabic design within the 48 deluxe chalet-style rooms, two suites and two villas, all featuring a private balcony or terrace, creating brighter and wider spaces.
