SIAL Middle East has joined a growing number of suppliers supporting the Hotelier Express Middle East Summit, taking advantage of "an ideal platform to reach out to mid-tier hotel industry executives".

Speaking to Hotelier Express, SIAL Middle East managing director Joanne Cook commented: “As the UAE continues to add hotel rooms to its existing inventory, it will reflect on the occupancy rates and revenue margins for various properties.

"With increasing competition, hotel general managers will need to create a differentiation factor for their properties to stay relevant. One great way of doing this is by reinvigorating the food offering and SIAL Middle East can help achieve just that.”

Commenting on the UAE budget and mid-market hotel industry in 2016, she added: “As 50% of the rooms entering the Dubai market are rated three-star or less, there are exciting developments are on horizon for this particular accommodation market. It is certainly great for the end users as they will have more choice and also perhaps will lead towards more affordable options.”

Cook anticipated that main topics to be discussed at the Hotelier Express Middle East Summit will include the strategies deployed by budget and mid-market hoteliers to secure an increasing market share.

SIAL Middle East is an annual event and the 2016 edition of the event will be held from December 5-7, and is expected to attract more than 900 exhibitors and 30 national country pavilions.
