Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has appointed Paul Herman as director of sales for the regional sales office in Dubai.
In his new position, Herman will report directly to the regional director of sales, Middle East Aiman Roujouleh and will be in charge of the United Arab Emirates as a feeder market for Mandarin Oriental properties globally, along with other territories in the region.
Herman joins the team from the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London, where he was involved in working the Middle East market.
Roujouleh said: “It is with great pleasure that we welcome Paul to head our sales team in Dubai. Having moved from within the group, he is no stranger to the Mandarin Oriental brand and our portfolio of properties. Through his deep understanding of the Middle East market and a strong network of contacts in the region, I have no doubt that Paul will be a great asset to the Middle East sales office and will work to take the success of our team and the brand to the next level.”
Mandarin Oriental operates 29 hotels and eight residences in 19 countries and territories. Mandarin Oriental’s pipeline includes a Doha hotel amongst other locations and cities.
