Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, a luxury brand within the AccorHotels portfolio, is set to open the Fairmont Fujairah Beach Resort in January 2017.

The property’s inauguration ceremony held on December 15, was attended by H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan; advisor to H.H The President of the UAE. and H.H. Sheikh Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi; member of the supreme council and ruler of the Emirate of Al Fujairah.

With views of the marina and the Gulf of Oman, the 180-room property is art-inspired, with spacious and light filled spaces.

The property will be the fifth Fairmont branded project in the UAE, joining the flagship Fairmont Dubai, Fairmont The Palm, Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, and Fairmont Ajman.

"We are pleased to add to our rapidly growing portfolio of hotels in the UAE with the introduction of the uniquely designed Fairmont Fujairah Beach Resort," said general manager Omar Souab, in a statement.

"This resort will be a high-profile addition to the East Coast’s developing hospitality and tourism industry." 

A contemporary mosaic-tiled swimming pool, children’s club, the brand’s Willow Stream Spa, fully-equipped fitness centre and dive centre make up the resort’s leisure offerings. In addition to expansive outdoor space, the hotel offers three meeting rooms, including a large modern-day pre-function area.

Five F&B outlets make up the resort's offering: Canvas, the resort’s all-day-dining restaurant with multiple interactive food stations; Arteasan, which is surrounded by art; The Copper Lobster, with fresh seafood in a London gastro-bar setting; a European-style bistro, Café Pronto; and poolside bar Iammai (pronounced ya-mai).
