The Holiday Inn Doha The Business Park is set to open mid- to late-Q2 2017 in Qatar, Hotelier Middle East has been informed exclusively.

“Within the Business Park we have the Crowne Plaza Doha The Business Park and we are nearing the completion of the project directly next door which is the Holiday Inn Doha The Business Park – positioned in the four-star space,” Crowne Plaza Doha The Business Park general manager Marcus Sutton told sister-title Hotelier Qatar.

The hotel’s website has already started accepting booking as of August 1, 2017. “We are 90% complete, and it’s just the last few pending bits that need to be sorted,” Sutton added.

The new Holiday Inn will be a modern contemporary four-star hotel with lots of unique design features within the hotel, Sutton told Hotelier.

“The hotel will have 307 rooms and a pillar-less ballroom that will be able to seat 850 people, which is one of the largest on this side of town. We will also have signature dining destinations and meeting space. This means between the two hotels we will be offering about 14-15 F&B outlets in the Business Park,” he said.

The new hotel will have three main F&B outlets. “We are looking at rolling out a new concept in this market, which is one of IHG’s signature outlets and take on the guise of a premium sports bar. The two other outlets will serve Italian cuisine and other will be a rooftop pool bar.”

Sutton took charge of the four-year-old Crowne Plaza The Business Park Doha in April 2016. He has confirmed that he will take over the role of general manager for both properties.
