To facilitate easier travel for Omanis to India, ‘e-tourist visa’ will now be issued for visits for recreation and sight-seeing, ‘e-business visa’ will be issued for business activities in India and ‘e-medical visa’ will be issued for medical tourism in India, local media reports.
Additionally, the window for issuing visas under ‘e-visa’ has also been increased from 30 days to 120 days, allowing the applicant can travel to India within 120 days of the visa being issued.
The duration of stay in India under ‘e-visa’ has been increased from existing 30 days to 60 days.

A case by case extension can be granted for the ‘e-medical visa,” allowing applicants to stay up to six months.
