Le Gray Beirut guest services manager Chloé Chelala has received the prestigious golden keys to become a member of Les Clefs d’Or, the prestigious association that recognizes hotel concierges based on the quality of their service, their commitment and the passion that motivates them.

Saudi born Chelala has spent nearly seventeen years in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which enabled her to get acquainted with different cultures - an asset during her career, the hotel said.

After obtaining her French baccalaureate at the international high school of Riyadh, Chelala decided to pursue her higher studies at Saint Joseph University in Beirut, Lebanon where she obtained her bachelor's degree in Tourism and Hotel Management.

In addition to her studies and several appointments as concierge in leading hotels, Chelala has her finger on the pulse of the city, which earned her the merit of meeting the Clefs d'Or association criteria.

In order to qualify to be a Les Clefs D’or member the candidate need to have worked for no less than five years in a hotel lobby, and at least three as a concierge.

It also needs several recommendations, and passing marks on an oral evaluation and a 10-page written exam that takes five to 20 hours per person.
