Hospitality products specialist Isukoshi is deploying technology in its latest product launches in the region, company CEO Dato Anthony Chua informed Hotelier Qatar recently.

Chua announced his company is responsible for bringing Sanbot to the Middle East. Sanbot is a cloud-enabled humanoid robot developed by Chinese robotics and artificial intelligence company Qihan. The Sanbot interface utilises cutting edge cloud technology and artificial intelligence to deliver interactive services which can be tapped by hoteliers. According to Chua, Sanbot will serve as a “robotic tourist guide” designed to provide “moderate assistance” in the hospitality industry.
In addition, Chua declared that Isukoshi will be unveiling “The Royal Emirates”, a massage chair targeted specifically at the region’s luxury hospitality sector.

Chua added that the 2017 Qatar Hospitality Summit will provide a timely and strategic platform for showcasing the new product launches to the region’s hoteliers.

Hotelier Middle East has established a reputation as the leading publication for hoteliers in the Middle East. The Qatar Hospitality Summit 2017 is a great opportunity for us to showcase our branding, our company and products. Supporting Hotelier Middle East: Qatar Hospitality Summit 2017 is a privilege for Isukoshi and we would love to be a part of the most prestigious hospitality event in the region,” Chua said.

“The Qatar Hospitality Summit 2017 will provide a unique forum for attendees from academia, industry, government, and other organisations to actively exchange, share, and challenge state-of-the-art research and industrial case studies on issues related to hospitality and tourism marketing and management,” he continued.

Chua expressed his opinion that the increased investment in hotel rooms in Qatar poses competitive as well as opportunistic considerations for his company. “As we are all aware, Qatar will be hosting the World Cup of the world’s most watched sport. Qatar could face a considerable challenge of overcapacity with the hotels it is building for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. A report by Samba Financial Group says the number of hotel rooms required by FIFA for the showpiece is 60,000 – a significant increase on the country’s 13,551 rooms that Qatar Tourism Authority recorded at the end of 2013. With the significant increase of hotels, there will be also be a growth in competition to offer more hospitality product and services. Hotel GMs will obviously have numerous options. So, we want to differentiate ourselves from other competitors in order to be noticed by hoteliers in the region.”

“Qatar is one of the fastest developing markets in this region. I think everyone with extensive resources would like to participate and perform their role in the development of this country,” Chua added.

He declared that Isukoshi expansion plans are to be expected in the region. “We are glad to be a part of this region. We will be soon opening our branches in Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain and other MENA markets, along with India, the United Kingdom and the United States of America to establish our retail as well as corporate divisions,” he concluded.
