Anantara’s two luxury resorts in Oman, Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort and Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara, which both opened within the last six months, are joining forces to offer a summer package to synergise and highlight each property’s features and offerings for the season, senior executives confirmed to Hotelier Middle East during the 2017 Arabian Travel Market (ATM).

Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdal general manager Darren Darwin declared that this summer, his property will be driving its wellness programme.“We’ve been open six months and we’re always evolving, always looking at ways to drive guest experiences, mostly in adventure and culture which we’re perfectly positioned for,” he said.

And now in the summer we will be driving our wellness programme. We’ve got the altitude; the air is amazing so that, combined with our spa and F&B will be quite a wellness offering. We can do many packages – one day, three days, five days or seven days and programmes are designed around detox, weight loss, or whatever the guest is seeking.”

As for Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara, resident manager Abdullah Al Hinai remarked that his property will be emphasising both its luxury features as well as authentic local Omani experiences.“We’ve been open for five months and the response has been tremendous as there have been no true luxury offering in Salalah until we came. Our pool villas are especially popular with guests,” he said.

In the summer, it doesn’t rain everyday and the temperatures are very nice. We offer authentic luxury by locals. We’ve got local guides and local staff cooking in the restaurant. The kids’ club is run by local staff. We’ve got around 80 Omanis and 25% Omanisation for the entire resort is considered considered very good for this region. We are running different programmes emphasing local authenticity so guests can see and experience local hospitality.”
