Steigenberger Hotel Business Bay Dubai has set up and stocked two outdoor sharing refrigerators in line with the call for ‘A Year of Giving.’

Food and bottled water can be taken by those who need it during the month of Ramadan. The hotel has partnered with PepsiCo, which have sponsored the refrigerators and 60 cases of water, NRTC Group to supply fresh fruits, and Gulf Bagel and Promar which are providing pastry products.

The two fridges are placed between the hotel’s main entrance and Brothaus Bakery Bistro terrace, all through the month of Ramadan.

In addition to the food and drinks supplied by the hotel and guests, the local community is also invited to be part of the initiative and make donations of their own.

This initiative has been planned with a sense of giving back to the community, especially for the labour community who work hard on a daily basis.

Steigenberger Hotel Business Bay Dubai, general manager, Stephen Meredith, said: “The purpose of our sharing fridges is to spread goodness and kindness to the community around us all through Ramadan, and reinforce a sense of togetherness.

“Along with our generous sponsors, this gives our team and guests a chance to experience the joy of giving, which is one of the essential cornerstones of the holy month. Luxury hotels often focus only on those who can afford to pay for its services, but there is so much we can do to make sure that those less fortunate than us are not forgotten.”
