The Hilton Dubai cluster has appointed Julien Besançon, an experienced hospitality professional, as the cluster director of operations for Hilton Dubai Jumeirah and Hilton Dubai The Walk.

Besançon brings more than 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including eight years with Hilton Group across the Middle East. He will be leading the operations teams, focusing on food and beverage (F&B) fineness for the two properties totaling up to 752 rooms and more than 15 restaurants and bars.

Born and raised in France, Besançon first came to UAE in 2006 when he started working as an outlet manager. He joined the Hilton team in 2009 in Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Resort & Spa and has been with the group ever since.

He is returning to Hilton Dubai from Hilton Doha, where he spearheaded a team of 350 members as the director of operations and won the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Hilton F&B team of the year in 2015. 

Commenting on the appointment, Besançon said, “I am thrilled to be back in Dubai and to be working with two stunning properties. There are exciting projects happening across both hotels and I look forward to driving them.

“I just can’t comment on them yet. I have an extensive experience working with Hilton, I feel very comfortable with the group. I am delighted to share my knowledge with the teams to take Hilton Dubai forward, to ensure the highest quality for our guests.”
