Deutsche Hospitality has signed its third property in Tunisia, with the Steigenberger Hotel Palace Marhaba on the Gulf of Hammamet set to welcome guests from November 2017.
The group entered the Tunisian market for the first time in April by opening two hotels (Steigenberger and Jaz) in Sousse further to the South.
The Steigenberger Hotel Palace Marhaba will offer 371 rooms and suites as well as six restaurants and bars. Other facilities include six indoor and outdoor pools, a Thalassotherapy Centre with a wide choice of beauty treatments, massage parlours, a hairdressing salon, a hammam and a sauna. There will also be six conference rooms.
Puneet Chhatwal, CEO of Deutsche Hospitality, said in a statement: "Our presence in Hammamet enables us to add yet another popular resort location to our portfolio and establishes our Steigenberger brand even more powerfully within the holiday segment. After a few months on the Tunisian market, our representation has expanded to three hotels. This is a highly pleasing development which is a ringing endorsement of our strategy of expansion."
Deutsche Hospitality will operate the hotel under a management agreement. The owner is the Tunisia-based Marhaba Company.
