Emaar Hospitality Group’s Address Hotels + Resorts has been selected to manage a 1,490-key hotel in the Holy City of Makkah, according to developer Jabal Omar Development Company (JODC).
Jabal Omar Address Makkah, scheduled to open in 2019, marks the first entry of Address Hotels + Resorts to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Jabal Omar Address Makkah will be located just steps away from the Grand Mosque. The hotel will be housed in the tallest identical twin towers within the master development. An interconnecting bridge will link the two towers.
Guestroom size will start at 40m2 with suites starting at 59m2 and the presidential suites spanning almost 390m2. Of the 1,490 hotel guestrooms and suites, units will also be available for freehold sale.
Over 3,000m2 within the hotel will be set aside for two lounges featuring cafes and retail outlets. The hotel will also feature two signature restaurants, lobby cafes, six meeting rooms, two business centres and two fitness clubs.
Jabal Omar Address Makkah will have easy connectivity for visitors with the opening of the Haramain High Speed Rail that links the Holy City with Madinah via Jeddah and King Abdullah Economic City.
With a built-up area of about 2 million square metres, the Jabal Omar development will also include residences, hotels, malls, retail amenities, prayer areas and other support facilities.
