Amwaj Rotana Jumeirah Beach, Dubai worked on a number of charity initiatives during Ramadan in 2017, with the aim of giving back to society.

Having offered an iftar for the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children at the end of May, the five-star hotel partnered with Moti Roti for its second initiative. Working with the Dubai eatery for the second year running, the hotel sent a team of volunteers who distributed food items, such as laban, bananas and dates as part of the #fillingtheblues campaign, to labourers at a construction site in Al Barsha.

In addition to this, the hotel also collected approximately 37kg of men’s clothes which were donated to the group of labourers.

Amwaj Rotana learning and development director Jennifer Bonaobra, who organised the partnership with Moti Roti, said in a statement: "Last year, we appreciated the opportunity to offer rations and Eid sweets to labourers because it was our chance to briefly experience the true meaning of Ramadan. It was a given that we would therefore, work with Moti Roti again this year."
