Marriott International has been named one of the Best Workplaces for Millennials, by global research and consulting firm Great Place to Work and Fortune magazine for the second consecutive year.

The hotel giant made it into the top 20 positions coming in at number 14. This announcement comes on the heels of the brand-new Marriott Careers employer brand campaign “To the Journey” that has a particular focus on recruiting and retaining top millennial talent globally.

Last year, the company completed the acquisition of Starwood making it the owner of 30 brands worldwide. 

“We’re honored Fortune and Great Place to Work have recognised Marriott International as one of the Best Workplaces for Millennials,” said David Rodriguez, EVP and global chief human resources officer for Marriott International.  “This hyper-connected, tech savvy generation makes up a significant portion of our workforce – in fact, millennials accounted for 69% of all Marriott hires in 2016 in the U.S. alone.  Personal happiness and wellbeing coupled with company pride are at the center of our culture and millennials are particularly attracted to job opportunities where they can feel good about themselves and their teams, have a passion for the work and also the organisation overall.”

Marriott International also topped the Hotelier Middle East Salary Survey 2017 and it is the hotel operator that MENA hoteliers would like to work for the most.

The hotel company topped our salary survey for the first time and nearly 50% of our surveyed respondents want to work for the operator.
