Mansour Memarian joins Palazzo Versace Dubai as the new executive chef.

Prior to his new role, Memarian was chef de cuisine at the Burj Al Arab's Al Mahara restaurant.

An Iranian chef with German origins, he has 21 years' industry experience, including stints at some of the world’s best restaurants and having held executive positions at hotels such as Shangri-La Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi and Chedi Andermatt in Switzerland.

Before arriving in the United Arab Emirates in 2010, Memarian worked in various hotels and dining establishments in Europe. During his eight-month tenure as head chef at Jagdhof Glashütte in Germany in 2006, the restaurant earned a Michelin star. He later moved to Innsbruck, Austria, to open Pavillon restaurant and shortly thereafter, the restaurant was also awarded a Michelin star. 

In 2008 he was named the 'Best International Chef' in Austria and his cookbook Gourmet Raffinessen was voted 'Best Cookbook' in the same country.

At Palazzo Versace Dubai, Memarian will oversee the hotel's culinary operations including its six restaurants and two bars, as well as catering services.
