The Iridium Spa at The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, Abu Dhabi, has welcomed Mariana Toma as the director of spa.
With more than 12 years of experience, Toma learned more about holistic therapies, practicing traditional treatments from Chinese medicine to Old Japanese techniques.
She has since worked in a number of hotels and medical aesthetic clinics in the United Kingdom and in the UAE, eventually making her way to The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, Abu Dhabi.
Prior to this role she was the health club and spa manager at Hilton Dubai Jumeirah Beach and Hilton Dubai The Walk.

Toma said: "Compared to the US and Asia - which are the current spa market leaders in the world - spas in the Middle East in particular are associated with more luxurious and result-driven therapeutic experiences."
Guests can expect more treatments from the Iridium Spa, Abu Dhabi during the next quarter of the year. It will be launching a new series of signature massages including 'sense of calm', 'sense of purity', and 'sense of happiness'. New facial treatments will also be introduced, including 'pure gold'm and 'diamond dust, collagen and diamond lift'.
