The Ascott Limited continues its global expansion with the opening of its first serviced apartment in Turkey, the Somerset Maslak Istanbul.

The serviced residence is an integral part of the city's new Maslak 1453, the largest lifestyle development complex in Europe spanning more than two million square metres. The 165-unit property is located in Istanbul’s commercial hub, home to multinational corporations, such as Ericsson, Cisco and Ford as well as educational institutions, including Nisantasi University and the historic Istanbul Technical University.

“We are excited to open Ascott’s first serviced residence in one of the world’s most vibrant and dynamic cities, Istanbul. Visitors can now experience Ascott’s signature hospitality service that has already become a hallmark of our properties in more than 120 cities across 31 countries," Ascott country general manager Middle East and Turkey Vincent Miccolis said.

He continued: “Located within the Maslak district in Istanbul, Somerset Maslak Istanbul is at the heart of a cosmopolitan hub that is a major centre for business and containing many of Istanbul’s most appealing landmarks, so we expect to attract a varied mix of leisure and business travellers.”

Somerset Maslak Istanbul provides flexibility for both short and long-stay requirements, with facilities that include a breakfast room, gymnasium, residents’ lounge, swimming pool and children’s playroom.

Residents can select from studios up to four-bedroom apartments; all units are configured with a fully-equipped kitchen as well as separate living and dining areas. The property features a 24-hour reception, daily housekeeping service, WiFi, valet parking, babysitting services, as well as round-the-clock security with electronic key card access.

Leisure destinations nearby include Istinye Park, with its 291 stores and Turkish food bazaar; Türk Telecom Arena, home to Galatasaray SK; and one of Istanbul’s tallest buildings, the Istanbul Sapphire; all of which are within a 10-minute drive.
