The Glion Institute of Higher Education is set to launch a new undergraduate and graduate programme in February 2018.

Speaking to Hotelier Middle East, the institute's executive director of external relations Fabienne Rollandin said: "As one of the leading hospitality management schools in the world, we are completely reviewing our curriculum in order to better meet the needs and trends of the industry as well as of our students.

"The student experience is at the center of everything we do, constantly searching for excellence and a personalized approach to their learning environment. Our objective is to prepare them to become the leaders of the hospitality industry and to gain all the competencies and skills to become successful professionals."

The UAE and Dubai in particular is important for Glion and its students. Rollandin added: "I think that Dubai is a fantastic hub to see the hospitality business in action. For our students, it is an excellent place to learn about the business and develop their professional and personal competencies while getting a deep insight of this ever growing and developing industry. It is not always an easy environment to work in, but they can learn so much and also see lots of new trends, new concepts popping up, thus making it even more interesting for them and their development."

Glion is the education partner of the upcoming Hotelier Middle East: Great GM Debate, and Rollandin said that the conference is a good opportunity to "obtain the latest trends and insights about this fast moving sector that plays an important role in the global economic landscape of the UAE".
