Manzil Downtown welcomes Salvatore Barcellona as its new head chef, where he will lead the culinary operations of the hotel’s dining venues, including The Courtyard, Boulevard Kitchen, and Nezesaussi Grill.

A native Sicilian, Barcellona launched his culinary career in 1996 in Italy and went on to acquire more than 20 years of experience in a number of hotels and restaurants across the globe, including Germany, the US and most recently in the UAE, where he has been since 2011.

In his new role, Barcellona‘s main responsibilities include managing the food preparation process, and putting together a varied menu.

Prior to joining Manzil Downtown, Barcellona was a chef de cuisine at Prego's Italian restaurant in Media Rotana.
