Pieter Liebenberg has joined Crowne Plaza Dubai’s Sheikh Zayed Road property to oversee its 13 food & beverage outlets, which include Trader Vic’s, Wagamamas, Zinc and Chamas Charruscaria & Bar, as well as banquet operations encompassing 15 meeting and event venues.
Originally from South Africa, Liebenberg learnt his trade working at Westin Grand, Cape Town and Tsogo Sun. He joins Crowne Plaza Dubai from the Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Deira Creek where he was previously the food and beverage manager working across 16 outlets.
Commenting on the appointment, Crowne Plaza Dubai general manager Georges Farhat said: “We are pleased to welcome Liebenberg to the team for this critical role, where he will be highly instrumental in setting the agenda for the strategic growth of the property in this key period of development and innovation.”
During his tenure with Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Deira Creek, Liebenberg was shortlisted for F&B Manager of the Year in the 2017 Hotelier Middle East Awards.
