Previously flagged as the Kempinski Hotel Ajman, the building has now been reflagged as the Ajman Hotel, under the Blazon Hotels brand.
The Blazon Hotels brand is part of the newly established hotel management company Smart Hospitality Solutions (SHS), founded by hospitality veterans Reto Wittwer and Ulrich Eckhardt - both with Kempinski experience to their name. The SHS portfolio encompasses three distinct brands: Blazon, Contempera, and a wellness brand Softouch Hotels.
Wittwer and Eckhardt share more than ten decades of combined hotel experience between them, with the former having served as the president and CEO of Kempinski Hotels from 1995 until 2014, and the latter was the president of Middle East & Africa as well as the GM of the Kempinski Hotel Ajman since it opened in 1998.
George Ganchev has been hired as general manager to lead the team at Ajman Hotel through enhancements to the hotel, which includes 168 guest rooms and 14 suites, 10 restaurants and cafes, and wellness and leisure facilities. Ganchev is also a Kempinski veteran, having served as GM for properties such as: Grand Hotel Kempinski Riga,Latvia; Burj Rafal Hotel Kempinski Riyadh, KSA; Kempinski Hotel Soma Bay, Egypt; and Kempinski Hotel Amman, Jordan.

Under the Blazon flag, Ajman Hotel will reveal enhanced culinary offerings, as well as upgrades to its guest rooms and event spaces during the next year.
