Costa Coffee UAE is offering its customers a healthy alternative as it introduces coconut milk to its menu, in time for those attempting ‘Veganuary’.

A dairy-free alternative to regular milk, coffee-lovers will now be able to add coconut milk to any coffee drink for an additional AED 3.25 (USD 1) and will be able to order a new vanilla and coconut latte.

Coconut milk is the latest addition to Costa’s dairy-free offering, as it aims to cater to customers looking for alternative milk options for their coffee. The milk contains good fat and a high nutritional content including fibre, vitamin C, iron and magnesium.

Unlike cow’s milk, coconut milk is lactose free, making it a great option for those who are lactose intolerant. It’s also a popular choice with vegans as they look to replace dairy in their diet.

Customers wanting to try Costa’s new coconut milk offering should head down to participating Costa stores on Tuesday January 23, for a free coconut milk coffee.

Costa Coffee UAE head of marketing Shemaine Jones said in a statement: “We’re seeing a real trend at the moment for people looking for dairy alternative options for their coffee, so we’re delighted to add coconut milk to our menu. Not only does it have a great flavour, it’s a fantastic way to kick start the New Year with a healthier choice”.
