Taj Hotels, has announced plans to help female staff by paying for fertility treatment if they need or want it. It's part of a new policy intended to retain and promote female employees in the company, according to a report in the BBC.

Taj Hotels' parents company, the Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), said in a press conference that the company has decided to reimburse female employees for expenses related to “family expansion.” 

Under this new scheme, it will pay for "various medical procedures", including IVF treatments and the freezing of eggs, embryos and sperm, as well as artificial insemination.

IHCL operates 144 hotels in 11 countries, ranging from high-end luxury hotels to business oriented properties, and budget hotels.
