Dubai-based developer Omniyat has revealed details of its latest project on the Dubai Water Canal, a five-star hotel and luxury residential building to be managed by Dorchester Collection.

Omniyat held a black tie gala event on Thursday evening to unveil the first images from its Dorchester Collection project, dubbed the Private Residences.

The property developer also announced that the project was designed by award-winning architectural firm Foster + Partners.

Located at Marasi on Dubai Canal, Private Residences will be one of the first in the region to be managed by the London-based Dorchestor, which announced its initial expansion into the Asia market last month.

Speaking after the event, Mahdi Amjad, CEO and executive chairman of Omniyat, said: “Our partnership with Dorchester Collection is a key moment in the company’s history, and it was a pleasure to reveal the project’s design to all our investors and partners on this special evening.”

The unveiling of Private Residences follows Omniyat’s announcement last month that it has partnered with The Dorchester to manage another of its properties, the One Palm residential project on Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah.

Dorchester will be providing the building management and al la cart services to residents of that project.

Christopher Cowdray, chief executive officer at Dorchester Collection, added: “Our strategic partnership with pioneering and visionary Omniyat will bring together an architectural landmark with Dorchester Collection’s legendary hospitality. It will define the future of luxury in this vibrant region.”
