Hilton has been named the number one 'Great Place to Work' in Saudi Arabia for the second year in a row.
Celebrating the announcement at a gala ceremony in Riyadh on Monday, vice president operations, Saudi Arabia & Levant, Hilton Kamel Ajami said: “We are delighted to have been placed first in the Great Place to Work Saudi Arabia list for the second year in a row. Our team members are at the heart of everything we do, and their hard work, passion and commitment are at the core of our success. This Great Place to Work achievement is a testament to the amazing culture we’ve built together, centred on our company’s mission to be the most hospitable company in the world.”
Last year, Hilton launched its new value proposition, Thrive@Hilton as part of its effort to help its team members live their best lives. Through initiatives such as building in time to recharge during the workday, sabbaticals and tools for increasing recognition, the scheme are aimed to enable members to flourish.
Hilton also offers industry-leading learning and development opportunities to the staff including access to Hilton University, an online platform offering more than five million hours of training through 2,500 courses.
Last year, the hotel company also announced the introduction of a minimum of 12 weeks fully-paid maternity leave for female staff in the Middle East and Africa.
Hilton will also be holding a ‘Women in Leadership’ conference for its female employees in Saudi Arabia in April to empower and inspire current and future female leaders. The company currently operates 11 properties in Saudi Arabia and with plans to develop 34 more hotels, a statement said.
