Bobbi Brown, best known for her namesake cosmetic line, is officially set to open a boutique hotel, The George, along with her husband developer Steven Plofker in her hometown, Montclair, New Jersey.

Brown, who sold her company to Estee Lauder in 2016, was looking to start a new project, according to report by CNN, but when left with an empty nest after her youngest of three sons moved out for college, she and her husband decided try their hand at a boutique hotel.

The 32-room hotel’s name, the report adds, is inspired the United States’ first president, George Washington, and will officially open on April 1, 2018.

Having travelled around the world and stayed in countless hotels while she was busy heading her cosmetic line, Brown says she knows a few do’s or don’ts when it comes to hotels.

For example, Brown has kept Nespresso coffee machines for her guests in every room and is picky with fragrances. Brown chose a peppermint lavender scent for all the in-room amenities, and has a policy against using perfumes or room sprays in common areas, the report adds.

"I get into the details. We're going to be serving breakfast and brunch both to hotel guests and the community, we'll have an afternoon tea and smoothies. It matters what yogurt we serve. I will be curating everything," Brown tells CNN, "It's a small hotel, so it's about customer experience and accommodating."

The George welcomes animals and gives them treats, too. Hotel guests can also choose accessories for their pets like a food bowl ahead of their reservation so that the room is ready for them at check-in.

The boutique hotel, which will be located 45 minutes outside of Manhattan, however, will not have a liquor license and a spa.
