The Northern Emirate of Sharjah has been named as one of the most affordable five-star holiday destination in the world.
According to global travel search engine, Skyscanner, Sharjah ranked fifth on the research compiled by its team at skyscanner.ae/hotels.
However, it's not the cheapest destination to offer five-star stays for less. In the list of 100 cities offering affordable five-star accommodation, only the Egyptian resorts of Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada, Kuala Lumpur and Sofia were ranked cheaper than Sharjah.
