Hospitality Management Holding (HMH) has signed a management agreement for an environmentally responsible hotel in the UAE under its new hotel brand, Ecos Hotels at Arabian Travel Market 2018 (ATM). The hotel will be the first one under the newly-launched brand.

The 320-key Ecos Hotel will be located in Al Furjan, Dubai and is due to open before 2020 in preparation of the Expo 2020, a statement from HMH said.

The hotel’s brand is built around the eco-conscious practices and will focus on efficiency and simplicity combined with design and technology.

HMH CEO Aboudi Asali said the new sustainable design philosophy of the hotel brand will enhance its existing portfolio: “HMH’s new property further underlines the group’s commitment to grow in the UAE, which is a very strategic market for us, as well as the wider GCC and MENA regions. We are thrilled to present the Group’s first environmentally responsible chain of hotels through the ECOS Hotel, designed for the new world.”

The upcoming Ecos Hotel will bring HMH’s portfolio to 18 managed hotels.
