Ritz-Carlton Bahrain has bid farewell to its general manager Jean-Paul Dantil who has moved to Vienna, Austria in his newly appointed role as vice president of operations for the Almanac Hotels group.

Dantil will be overseeing the opening of the 122-room Almanac Vienna, located on the Ringstrasse, and in addition to that Parkring 14 - which will be the first Almanac Residences to open. These 12 apartments are set within the hotel and offer owners access to all of the amenities and hotel services. 

The hotel is scheduled to open in 2019, and Dantil will also serve as the opening general manager

“Almanac has an aggressive growth plan over the next five years and he will oversee the opening or rebranding of several properties including Vienna, Prague, Budapest, and Zagreb,” said Herbert Haselbacher, president and CEO of Almanac Hotels.  

On his appointment, Dantil said: “In these times of mass consolidation in the luxury hotel landscape, Almanac Hotels has a perfect opportunity to make an impact and host an audience that is looking for a sincere and different experience. In my role as vice president of operations, it will be my responsibility to ensure each hotel lives up to the vision of creating this experience through talent acquisition and engagement, defining and monitoring operating standards, concept creation and performance enhancement."
