AccorHotels is expanding its pipeline in Africa with the signing of Pullman and MGallery Ikoyi in Nigeria. The signing marks the debut of the two brands and are expected to open in late 2020, a statement from the company said.

In partnership with TomHawksworth Limited, Pullman Ikoyi will feature 204 keys while the MGallery Ikoyi will have 100 rooms and will be located in the affluent neighbourhood of Ikoyi and Banana Island.

Commenting on the signing, AccorHotels Middle East and Africa (MEA) CEO Olivier Granet said: “Since opening our very first hotel in Nigeria almost 20 years ago, we believed in the long term potential of the destination having witnessed incredible growth as one of the largest economies in Africa. As the market continues to evolve, there is a need for international brands and it is our commitment to fill this gap with two of our leading upper upscale brands – MGallery and Pullman.”

MGallery Ikoyi will feature restaurant and lounge concepts including an all-day dining restaurant, fine dining restaurant and lobby bar. Leisure and fitness-based amenities include a fully equipped gym, swimming pool and a spa.

The Pullman Ikoyi will feature a number of F&B outlets including an all-day dining restaurant, pool bar, fine dining restaurant and lobby bar. Pullman Ikoyi will also include state-of-the-art MICE facilities and a ballroom.

With the signing of these two brands, AccorHotels now has eight hotels in operation and in the pipeline in Nigeria. This brings Accor’s MEA portfolio, including operational and pipeline, to more than 300 hotels with 80,000 rooms across 30 countries in the region.
