Kempinski Hotel Amman in Jordan has appointed Mark Timbrell as the new general manager. Timbrell returns to Jordan after 11 years during which he held positions as general manager for Rotana in Beirut and Abu Dhabi.
His career also previously included various positions in sales and marketing such as area director of sales & marketing for IHG hotels in Jordan and Palestine and in operations such as resident manager of InterContinental Jordan.
With more than 35 years of hospitality experience under his belt, Timbrell, in his role will oversee the hotel’s 278 rooms and suites, restaurants, entertainment centre as well as convention centre expected to launch as the beginning of 2019.
The British national holds a Higher National Diploma in Hotel & Catering Management from Ealing College (now Thames Valley University) in London.
