Louvre Hotels Group has introduced its Kyriad brand in India and has revealed plans for expansion across the entire Indian subcontinent. 
 
The company with the acquisition of the Sarovar Hotels & Resort chain in January 2017, has further broadened the network of Golden Tulip, Tulip Inn and Royal Tulip brands and now has 126 hotels in the region.

Orange Tiger Hospitality Private Limited, which currently manages all the Citrus Hotels in the Indian sub-continent, the group will continue its expansion and will introduce Kyriad to India. 

Under the terms of the agreement with the Indian operator, Orange Tiger will operate eight hotels under the Kyriad brand by mid-October and fifteen by the end of 2018. It will open ten new hotels will open every year.

The scope of the agreement includes development opportunities in Nepal, Sri-Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan, The Maldives, Pakistan and Mauritius.

“Our goal is to become one of the top hospitality group by 2023. This calls for a strategic approach to countries with high growth potential such as India, where we introduce new brands that complement our existing presence and as always are tailored to address the needs of domestic and international, business and leisure travellers”, said Saurabh Chawla, global chief development officer at Louvre Hotels Group. 

Louvre Hotels Group already operates 2,600 hotels worldwide, including 1,220 in China where it recently introduced the Kyriad brand. The group aims to open 20 new hotels in China under this brand in 2018.
